Gabriel Clemens - Krzysztof Ratajski | 2021 World Darts Championship R4
The 38-year-old Saar lander Gabriel Clemens lost his third rounded to the Welsh top player Jonny Clayton extremely clearly with 0: 4 and could not repeat his eighth-field collection from the previous year.

The German Giant, as Clemens is called, made many too many mistakes over the entire games and was completely inferior to the greatly recent favorites about the complete playing time. Clayton now plays against the Englishman Michael Smith.

Only twelve opportunities in double

At the end of the day were for the current world ranking lists-25. Against the number 8 only four recovered legs (1: 3, 1: 3, 2: 3, 0: 3) and only two 180s total only an average of meager 87.66 points. Here, Clayton threw seven 180s and an average of more than 102 points simply in another league. Thus, the Saar lander also revealed only twelve checkout opportunities on double fields, of which he was only able to use four (33.3 percent). Again, the Welsh was better at 37.5 percent (12 of 32).

Already at his game in the 2nd round against Lewy Williams (3: 0), Clemens had acted under his possibilities and benefited from the double weakness of the Welsh rivals. The Darts World Cup is already finished for the German professionals before the secondary final. In the afternoon, Florian Hempen had failed with 1: 4 at the Australian Outsider Raymond Smith.

A year ago, Clemens had defeated in the Ally Pally to London, surprisingly defending champion Peter Wright from Scotland and thus the first German at all the round of the last 16 at the world’s most important tournament reached. The two other participants Martin Schindler and Fabian darters were already eliminated in round one.

The results of Monday evening (3rd round):

BERWYN PRICE KIM Huybrechts 4: 3

Jonny Clayton Gabriel Clemens 4: 0

The Match of James Wade and Vincent van der Oort had to be canceled due to a corona infection at the latter, so that Wade moved to the second round of this year’s Darts World Cup in London.
