The former world ranking listener Angelique Kerber has moved into the final in Strasbourg and has been in the final of a WTA tournament for the first time in eleven months.
The 34 -year -old Kieler benefited from the task of the French woman Oceane Dodin in the semi -finals during the dress rehearsal for the French Open, which started on Sunday.
Kerber led 7: 6 (7: 2), 1-0 in a previously tight match, when the dodin, which was apparently, ended the game. On Saturday, Kerber fights Kaja Juvan for the 13th WTA title of her career. The three-time Grand Slam winner Kerber last stood in a final in June 2021 in her tournament victory in Bad Homburg. Her last final on sand was more than six years ago: in April 2016 she won in Stuttgart against Laura Siegemund.
