– First of all, please introduce yourself. What is your favorite game?
Zach Mumbach (hereinafter ZACH) is the designer Zach Mumbach of this work. Now my most favorite PC game is the “ Svirization ” series, but honestly changes with the mood at that time. I love many games, so it is difficult to choose only one.
-Why did you start developing this work?
Zach our studios were established by four early members. We were all working together in the big studio of EA, but I wanted to create a creative decision and want to make my own things, brainstorms and put out a lot of ideas. Among them, “ Aerial City Construction Game ” was the most like us.
– Please tell me the characteristics of this work.
ZACH Player in this work is appointed in the air cities. This work is a city construction game, so the player offers dwelling, food, water, and other needs to increase the city. The characteristic points are that “lift” and “slope” must be considered. Players must always have a city plan while always putting this. Buildings that give “lift” can support more weights and make a larger city, but the weight of the new building affects the “slope” of the kingdom. Players need to control this well.
The player not only constructs the kingdom, but also moves the kingdom and collects resources around the world, finding new cities and ruins, or quests to make new recruiting.
– What kind of person do this work do you want to play?
ZACH honestly, we just made the game that we could enjoy and did not have a target. I think that many urban construction games can be enjoyed by the gamers who like, but this work made to play with any person.
– Is there a work affected by this work?
Zach I received many inspiration while making this work. The impact of the other urban construction games is large, especially the impact of “frostpunk” “Anno” “Kingdoms and Castles” is large. Visual surfaces are also affected by various things, but they were especially affected by Ghibli works. The environment is also influenced by the watercolor painter and the drama “Game of Sloanes”. The building that appears in this work is inspired from the work of a stop motion movie artist using a complex paper craft called music box and Daniel Agdag.
– Did you have an impact on development by new coronavirus?
Zach yes, but not other people. We are at the beginning of the establishment, and members live in various places around the world. We are trying to set up an opportunity to gather for a few times a year, but it is not longer than a pandemic.
